Just putting another statement out there as i wanted to clear some of the misinformation that's been going around:

I'm leaving The Owl Sanctuary as of April 1st which means it's currently up for sale. I'm not gonna spout any figures on this status but what you get from us is a complete, ready-to-go, music venue in it's current location. What we ask in return is a refundable deposit and payment for rent.

The crowdfunder that you've probably seen was set up by Sean in his personal bid to raise funds and purchase the business, it was not set up by The Owl Sanctuary or me. He posted it on The Owl page rather than his personal account and that comment has since been deleted so as to not cause any confusion.

Any interest or further questions should be emailed to [email protected]

Cheers, Ben.

The Future of The Owl Sanctuary

Hey guys, Ben here.

The regulars among you know I've been working at The Owl Sanctuary for about 2 years now. Early last year Sean and I took over and although its been a absolute blast for me running such a popular music venue, I feel my time at The Owl has come to an end.

Now this is where we need your help. Unfortunately my leaving triggers a situation where we need to source new people to take over and continue this iconic and valued business. We really hope we can find the right people soon but until then we've decided our last gig will be the Waster Sunday show on April 1st with The Owl closing the following day.

We would really like to see The Owl Sanctuary continue so please feel free to contact us at [email protected] or our page with any suggestions. Those of you who have shows booked after the April 1st deadline will also need to contact Sean, who will happily assist you in finding alternative arrangements.

At this time, I wanna send a big shout out to all the staff (Hannah, Lee, Hu Lia, Ric, Ryan, Joe Fx, Faye, Ruth, David), the wicked promoters, the security team and of course all of you folks who've supported the venue this past year. I feel so fortunate to have met so many awesome people and honestly I'm humbled by the support we receive each week. Let's hope it continues.

Big thanks everyone and take care of yourselves.

Ben
