Flogas has issued an immediate product recall for a small number of ‘Flogas Butane Cylinders’ purchased between 6 November and 22 November 2024.

The recall effects all ‘Flogas Butane Cylinders’ purchased across East Anglia, East Midlands, the Home Counties and the South East during that time. Flogas are calling for all customers who may have purchased one of these cylinders in the affected region particularly through a retailer such as B&Q, B&M, Homebase, another local seller or gas dealer to stop using the butane gas bottles immediately. Do not connect the gas. If already connected, disconnect it immediately. Where possible keep the cylinder stored outdoors. If you must store it indoors, ensure it’s away from sources of heat until collection is arranged.

This product presents a risk of fire because the butane cylinders have been filled with a mixture of butane and propane outside of the parameters for commercial butane defined in BS4250. This will result in a higher vapour pressure within the cylinder than usual.
