Last weeks food; this weeks menu!

Last week was yummy yummy, and we say bye bye to asparagus & thank you for another great season! This week we’ve got Cromer lobsters, roast pork, lots of fresh salads for starters, chocolate basque cheesecake 💖

Don’t forget - no pie deal this week, as it’s Norwich Wine Week, and we’re offering steak, chips, salad & peppercorn with a glass of St John Rouge for £25 in the pub all week long when open, and in the restaurant Wednesday & Thursday evenings, so book your table to secure the deal!

We’re really excited to be taking part in Norwich Wine Week from the 19th - 28th June.

We’ll be serving steak, chips, salad & peppercorn sauce with a glass of St John Cote du Rhône Rouge for £25.

Pub deal runs:
Tues/Wed 3-9pm
Thurs/Fri 12-9pm
Sat 12-5pm
(This will be replacing our pie deal, for the week)

Restaurant:
5-9pm Wednesday & Thursday evening

To secure your space book in the restaurant on Wednesday or Thursday next week, or walk in any day of the week downstairs to have your steak & wine.

There shall also be a bouji BTG list, including some showstoppers from Emile wines, Tutto & St John.

Corail, Cote de Provence Rose

The wine is packed full of delicate fruit, but also has great concentration and gentle salinity from the sea winds coming in off the Mediterranean.
The vineyards are set high in the hills of Provence, 10km away from the coast. This altitude, coupled with the cooling influence of the Mediterranean Sea, give the grapes slightly more hang time and often there is more complexity than other wines from this region.
Lots of white fruit flavours, citrus notes and is perfectly balanced for that crisp dry finish.

This is a pure, fruit-scented, bone-dry Vouvray — a perfect example of Chenin, arguably the Loire most prestigious white grape. Green apple, grapefruit, lime skin and flowery character. The palate is lively and crisp, lovely presence, ripe fruit and minerals.
