After being messed about by a local company, I found Jade on Etsy. We then come together and designed this stunning piece 🥰

Knowing very well we’re only going to ever use one or two of the pictures! 🤷🏻‍♀️

My phone is always having a melt down about storage space too 😭😂

The worst part? I probably have like 5 pictures of myself, 100 of my family, 20 of George, 300 of the dog/cats, 200 wedding photos … and the rest is CAKES, CAKES and more CAKES! 😂🙆🏾‍♀️

Bakers, please explain yourselves and how do I actually stop it? 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

Showing my sparkling deep cleaned kitchen that I did last night for 2 solid hours 🥹

Nothing went untouched, every draw and cupboard items pulled out, sprayed cleaned and put back neatly, bins, shelves, oven, windowsill, microwave, kettle, washing machine, tiles, tumble dryer, mixers, Alexa, sink, fridges, floor and units doors! 🫠

Also can you help with a debate between George and I .. Kettle handle, left or right side?! I say right but George says left 🤣

I wasn't going to post anything and just hide away for a little while, but I feel the need to let you know, I'll be taking it easy on socials and messages for a few days, just in hope people see this post and know why I've not replied as fast as I usually would ❤️

I had a colonoscopy yesterday, big brave girl, no sedation or gas and air! 💪

However I didn't get the best news. I'm feeling super emotional and I need to take in what's going on with my body/Ulcerative Colitis 💩

I sat in the waiting room with 12 enquiries and I couldn't think straight to reply to everyone, I do feel super overwhelmed right now 😬

My head hatessss leaving people unread because I just feel so incredibly guilty not replying and I don't want people to think I'm rude, but right now I just can't think about bookings, I know if I do try, something will just go wrong 🫣

Please be patient with me 🙏
I will get round to replying to you all 🩷

I am fully booked for the next 2 weeks, no orders will be taken for then if you were messaging me just to check ❤️🥹

The text no baker ever wants to receive 💔

However sometimes things don’t go quite to plan..and that’s okay, because after all we’re all human! ❤️

At 13:22 I had a lovely customer message me about pick up of her cake and somehow I completely got the date wrong (only by a day though)🤦‍♀️

14.40 I got home and managed to get it finished 16.19 just in time with setting for collection at 17:30! That is record timing, specially as this cake was fully coated too and had 15 minutes each go, to chill in the fridge after stacking and crumb coating! I also had to make the name and age card topper, luckily my amazing fondant lady was prepared and I already had the fondant animals 🥹

It’s moments like this that remind me that behind every order is a real person — and behind every small business is also real human being who can occasionally forget things too and is trying their best to hold it all together!

I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better customer. She was so understanding, patient and kind, and never once made me feel bad about my mistake 🥹❤️

Thank you to my wonderful customer for being so incredibly lovely and calm about the situation because it no doubt it caused some stress there too, and a little reminder to myself and perhaps other small business owners - mistakes will happen but what matters the most is how you handle them 💕🎂

Chuffed to have my neighbour involved too, as he has made me tons of useful things with his epic 3D printer!

Even if you don't want a box from me, I will be taking pre orders for him for the CUTE igloo at just £6! (Elf not included)
