Step back in time and celebrate VE Day with us-just as millions did on 8 May 1945, when news of Germany’s surrender brought an end to nearly six years of war in Europe. On that unforgettable day, the streets were alive with bunting, singing, and dancing, as people flocked to pubs and public spaces to rejoice together after years of hardship and rationing.
Pubs were at the heart of the celebrations, staying open late so everyone could raise a glass to peace and freedom. Revellers toasted victory, shared stories, and embraced strangers as friends, united by relief and hope for the future. The air was filled with the sounds of music, laughter, and heartfelt gratitude for those who served and sacrificed.
This VE Day, come in for a drink and be part of a proud tradition-honouring the spirit, resilience, and camaraderie that defined that historic moment. Let’s remember, reflect, and celebrate together, just as they did 80 years ago.
