So, what's on at The Vault this weekend I hear you say! On Friday night we will be showing the Scotland v Morocco game at 11pm. Singing and banter is compulsory. There might even be a special guest arriving! before kick off!
On Saturday we see one of our indie night featuring Dragged Up and Alex Rex. Doors open at 7pm and tickets are online or at the door at £10. Dragged up are deftly blend garage-psych, noise rock, proto-punk, and post-doom. Live sets are described as ‘expert’, embodying punk energy, ‘tight AF and with grooves inescapable’. Alex Rex is the ghost-folk project of Alex Neilson (Trembling Bells, Bonnie Prince Billy, Shirley Collins). Singing songs of love, loss & loathing!
Then on Sunday we have IVORY CUTLERY - A Visual Performance Inspired by the Songs of Ivor Cutler. Created by Evie Waddell (voice, BSL signed song, body percussion, movement) and performed by Evie Waddell and Sam Mabbett (accordion), Ivory Cutlery is a 50-minute visual performance inspired by the songs and spirit of Scottish artist Ivor Cutler.
Blending singing, British Sign Language, physical theatre, contemporary dance, Scottish step dance, and live accordion, the show celebrates Cutler’s playful imagination and his ability to find wonder in ordinary moments. Tickets are on sale online and you can pay at the door -£13
