New Fuse Box, Old Wiring Behind It? ⚡️

A modern consumer unit on the wall looks reassuring, but it only tells you about the board itself.

The cables running out to your sockets and lights may be the originals, installed decades ago.

Fitting a new unit upgrades the protection at the start of the circuit. It does not change the condition of the wiring that follows it.

The only way to know is a proper inspection of the whole installation, not just the part you can see.

If your home is older, or you are unsure when it was last rewired, we can assess it and give you a clear, honest recommendation.

From Survey To Certificate ⚡️

Stage one is a full site assessment, where we inspect the existing system and plan every socket, switch and circuit before any work begins.

Stage two is first fix, removing old cables and routing new wiring through walls, floors and ceilings, along with the new consumer unit.

Stage three is making good, where every channel and cut is repaired and the surfaces are prepared for decorating.

Stage four is second fix, connecting faceplates, lighting and accessories to complete the installation.

Stage five is full testing and certification, with an Electrical Installation Certificate issued to confirm compliance with BS 7671 and Scottish Building Standards.

Every step planned, tested and signed off.
