Firstly, we’re completely overwhelmed by all the comments and messages so thank you for your support 🙌
Many of you are asking why we’ve decided to leave…….
The Huntsman was not only the first of our pubs but has also been our home for the last 3.5 years. We can’t thank you all enough for supporting us so well, but we have decided it’s the right time for us as a family to let the pub go.
Hopefully the brewery will find someone soon to take over the reigns and they will continue progressing the pub further.

Hi everyone……
Unfortunately, we have taken the difficult decision to close The Huntsman with immediate effect 🥺
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers & staff for their support over the last 3.5 years.

Happy New Year to all of our customers and staff.

We will be open 12 - late today.

Food served 12pm - 6pm (offering a reduced menu)

Unfortunatley we will not be running Sunday lunch this week but we are serving the normal menu.

Due to the recent rise in Covid cases in the area and staff shortages. We have made the very difficult decision to close today and tomorow for a deep clean and return on New Years Eve. Let's make our new year one to remember at the Huntsman. 👍🍾

We are back open today from 12pm serving food 12pm - 2.30pm/5pm - 8.30pm don't forget its 2-4-1 all day.

We will be running a reduced menu until the new year. But do not worry your favourites are still on there 😊

We are donating the console to the Autism Society in Newton Aycliffe. We hope the children enjoy playing with the games. Merry Christmas.

Is there anywhere we can donate this too or anyone struggling with presents for their children? Nintendo wii with plenty of games.
