If New Year’s Eve is still looking a little… undecided, we may have just the thing. On December 31st, DJ Hermosa Beats Cartel is bringing the vibes for an epic Mixology Party 👏!

Our December menu will be served from 6pm, so you can enjoy a proper, warming meal before diving headfirst into cocktails (beautifully crafted by Bespoke Bar Bros) and dancing your way into the early hours.

After all, it would be rude not to start 2026 properly, don't you think? 😎

How does roast duck with hoisin, coffee-glazed goose liver and blueberry, poppy seed & lemon meringue pie sound for a Christmas Eve feast? 🤤
Only asking because these dishes are actually part of the special 7-course tasting menu we’re serving on December 24th.

Call us old-fashioned, but we love throwing a Christmas party that brings the whole family together.
So we delivered!

Gigi and the Grits were fantastic last night with their dance-worthy tunes, and honestly, we needed those grooves with the cold weather. It’s definitely winter now, in case there was any doubt 😂.

But enough weather chat, because we had the fire roaring inside LE SHACK, a big one crackling outside, Santa stopping by the grotto, the BBQ sizzling, and even a trip down to the village for some beautifully prepared traditional carolling.

It definitely felt like Christmas 🎄

And we’re not stopping here! Alongside our inviting Christmas menu, available throughout December, we’ll also be serving a 7-course special taster menu on Christmas Eve.

Mark your calendars: Friday, 12 December, from 4:30pm, we’re throwing a Christmas party at The Live 🎄!

We’ve got it all lined up: live music, mince pies, mulled wine, a visit from Santa, and - for the first time - a carolling trail from the pub to Village Hall in Landscove. And of course, food cooked over the fire!

Now that both the pub and Le Shack have been thoroughly decorated by our brave villagers (thank you SO much for that!), we can officially kick off the festive season.
No more pumpkins 😂!

Just wait until you see the Gala Menu we’re serving on New Year’s Eve! 😱
Yes, yes, it’s only November, but we’ve been planning this for a while, which means you’ve got plenty of time to decide.

Here’s the deal: Anton, our MasterChef-winner kitchen wizard, has created:

- A festive menu running all throughout December

- A 7-course Christmas Eve menu (both already live on the website)

- A Christmas Lunch menu for larger groups, perfect if you’ve got the whole family coming over or you’re organising the office do! AND

- A Gala Menu for the New Year’s Eve party (DJ Hermosa Beats Cartel will be on the decks, and Louie from will be shaking up cocktails all night - more on that soon!)

So, all that’s left now is to dress the pub in its festive clothes, and we’re doing exactly that on Friday, 28th November… and you’re invited!
We’ll start at 4:30 PM, get the Christmas decorations up, and switch the lights on together.

And then, on 12th December, we’re throwing a full Christmas party… but we’re getting ahead of ourselves. We’ll be flooding your feed over the next few days, rest assured, you won’t miss a thing! 😂😂
