So after 9 Years at The Falcon Inn, our lease has come to and end. It’s been just over a week since we handed over the keys, what a roller coaster it’s been. We’ve had fires and floods. We have lost far too many of the most beautiful friends and family. We survived the most testing times during the Covid Pandemic. We’ve had ups and downs and tears and laughter. We have met so many fantastic people. And so many of them now have become great friends. We have had the most loyal staff, which you can all agree what a fabulous bunch they are. We have loved our Quiz Nights, the Pram Push and our Falcon Fest. Wonderful fun memories.
I was going to write this last week, but as we were handing over the keys last Monday our beautiful 14 year old Staffy, Peggy suddenly became ill. Devastatingly we had to have her put to sleep. But it’s almost like she knew it was an end of an era and was time for her to fly over the Rainbow Bridge. We miss our little licky hippo so very very much. She loved running around the garden, chasing the pheasants, trying to catch the pigeons and hoping for a pork scratching or two. The Falcon Inn is a very special place. St Mawgan is a very special village. The community is second to none. We wish the new tenants all the very best. Thank you to each and everyone of you who have been part of our journey. We will miss it. But we are not going far, see you the other side of the bar!!!!
