Our first week into opening our YOBI boutique rooms, and this is what our team walked into this morning (see photos of our usual standard vs a room now out of action while carpets and furnishings are replaced).

Hospitality is a tough industry. We rarely talk about the hard parts publicly, but moments like this are difficult to stay silent on. Running a small business is relentless at the best of times. When something you've worked this hard to build and expand is treated without a shred of respect, it is incredibly disheartening.

To our guests who arrive with care and leave with kindness - we're grateful for every one of you.

Some guests arrive and leave a little piece of their story with you. 🐾

A man at the start of his retirement, lacing up his boots to walk the entire 870-mile Wales Coast Path alongside his Working Cocker Spaniel, Bobby. He is taking on this challenge for Deb, his wife, and for Nightingale House Hospice in Wrexham - "we're raising funds for our local Hospice in recognition and gratitude for the care they provided for my wife Deb and our family during our most difficult time."

Paul got in touch looking for a place to rest his boots for a couple of nights. We wanted to do a little more than that.

We were honoured to welcome Paul and Bobby for a gifted two-night stay as they passed through Newport.
