There has been lots of rumours and
Speculation about Simon’s and lousie and the castle recently, but we’ve always been open and honest with anyone who has asked us to our face, and more importantly to our castle family! But here we are!

Well… we never thought we’d be writing this one!

After plenty of laughs, late nights, questionable decisions, even more questionable dancing and enough pints to sink a small ship 😂, me and Louise will be leaving The Castle on Saturday 19th September 2026.

We’ve decided it’s time for us to spend more time with our family and, due to health reasons, finally slow things down a little ❤️

BUT WE ARE NOT SNEAKING OUT THE BACK DOOR QUIETLY… absolutely no chance 😂

Hey all, just wanted to clear something up as there seems to be a little bit of confusion going around ❤️

The Castle is NOT closing for good! 🍻🏰

Me and Louise will be saying our goodbyes and finishing our time at The Castle on the 19th September. The pub will then be closed from the 20th, giving the new landlords a few days to get everything ready, before reopening on the 25th September under new management.

Although it’s the end of an era for us, it’s definitely not the end of The Castle. We genuinely wish the new landlords every bit of luck and success and hope everyone gives them the same support, laughs and loyalty that you’ve shown us over the years.

The Castle has always been more than just four walls and a bar — it’s the people who walk through the door that make it what it is. ❤️

So please keep supporting your local, welcome the new landlords with open arms and help them make their own memories here.

But before all that… we’ve still got the 19th September to get through first… and we fully intend on going out with one hell of a night! 😂🍺
