This Thursday night sees an incredible ensemble touch down at Strings as part of this years Isle Of Wight Jazz Weekend!

Founded by 21 year old singer/song-writer Kemani Anderson and multi-instrumentalist and song-writer Callum Connell, Secret Night Gang are a multi-generational band, breathing new life into the classic British street-soul sound.

Having signed to Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Recordings in 2021, they received a nomination for Breakthrough Act of the Year at the 2021 Jazz FM Awards, and have very recently released their fresh, self-titled debut album to critical acclaim.

Special guest support comes from island based instrumental mavericks FLEEPER

We are pleased to announce Rhythm n Blues legends Nine Below Zero will be appearing at Strings on Friday 14 May 2027 as part of their 50th Anniversary tour.

NBZ formed in South London in 1977 and were originally known as Stan's Blues Band. They built a fierce live reputation on London’s pub circuit and peak popularity in the early 1980s. Led throughout by guitarist Dennis Greaves and harmonica player Mark Feltham, they famously appeared in the first-ever episode of the cult comedy show The Young Ones performing their track "11+11".

Since 1988 they have released a further 20 LP's in an incredible career and Mark Feltham has also been selected as harmonica-player by a whole host of acts including Oasis, Annie Lennox, Talk Talk and Rory Gallagher.

Nine Below Zero toured with The Who and The Kinks in 1980 / 81 and also appeared on 'The Old Grey Whistle Test' - some of you may remember this . . .

Tickets go on sale on Wednesday 16 September at 10am.

We're pleased to announce the return of Buffos Wake on Thursday 29 October.

Buffo’s Wake is a dark, theatrical gypsy-punk band formed in Brighton, UK. Describing themselves as a "twelve-legged beast", they are renowned for their highly energetic, chaotic live performances that blend Eastern European, Balkan and Russian folk music with punk rock, klezmer and dark cabaret.

The band's eccentric sound draws from a massive range of instrumentation, including accordions, violins, clarinets, and an extravagant brass section. Their music ranges from upbeat waltzes and fast-paced mosh pits to haunting "Slavic murder ballads" . . .

For those that came last time - you know they put on a brilliant show!
