Jazz at the Cannon Jazz alternate Mondays 8:00 to 10.30. Resident: JP Jazz. Occasional star guests. Our music spans all styles of jazz and acknowledges its roots in blues. Jazz club

A great evening with our guest, Alan Barnes, featured on sax and clarinet. Playing as a drummerless quartet and trio, and performing from the other end of the room; gave an intimate, closer-to-the-audience experience. Alan, with Dick Clarke on guitar, Andy Faulkner on double bass and with John Pinkerton, soprano sax, it could quite possibly be called chamber music jazz. A full house, appreciative audience, gave many plaudits at the end of a very satisfying evening. Thank you all for coming. See you in two weeks: Monday 1st June. 🙂
