😭 We would otherwise be at The Tap Room at The Donard in Newcastle today. A wee trip to the coast would've been lovely. Needless to say we're not jumping with joy and we're not on the beach as the picture would suggest. Stay safe everyone!

Well that’s it folks, it is with a heavy heart that we inform you that the doors of The Donard Bar are now closed for the foreseeable.

What is important to remember at this time however is that we must all do our part to ensure the safety and well-being of our customers, staff and the wider public in these uncertain times.

On that note we would like to extend our sincere thanks to all our loyal staff and customers who are the heart of our business and without whom we simply would not be what we are. As the saying goes ‘this too shall pass’ and we look forward to opening our doors again and welcoming you all back in better times so we may continue to build great memories with you all at the Donard.

In the meantime we wish you all health and the strength to remain positive.
