The food at The Blue Bell is also something of a discovery, as everything is home-cooked on the premises. Now, this does not mean things are bought in and then cooked in-house, it means properly home-cooked. Even their gorgeously chunky chips are cut and cooked right there in their kitchen. The pub's location is also quite an attraction, with Jesmond Dene right on the doorstep but still within walking distance of Newcastle city centre. The area is so tranquil, however, you will feel a million miles from the hustle and bustle. So take the time to hunt out this great pub ... we don't think you'll be disappointed. We have live music on Saturday nights, Buskers on Sundays, Quizzes on Mondays and Wednesdays. Poker nights, events and a function suite for hire. Live BT and Sky sports. Pool teams and darts teams ; just about anything you want, Hidden away at the back of the pub, the huge space includes all manner of seating as well as a raised, decked area.
