10 Years TODAY since we launched the very first … can you believe it?

We hold nostalgia to the years between 2013 and 2015 when we welcomed 12 street food traders every month and worked with some fabulous creative people from the likes of Wylam Brewery NARC. And so so many more who’s handles i can’t find …

It was the beginning of a long journey for so many brands that still exist ten years later. Thank you to Silverlink Holdings Boiler Shop and everyone else who helped.

As we mentioned a while ago, we were fortunate enough to have welcomed Bob Groves during his Oyster tour of the UK whilst writing his book last year when we conjured up a recipe or two using the infamous

Oyster Isles is now on sale via the link below and we're over the moon to welcome Bobby to the shack for a day of shucking and book selling next Saturday.

Bobby will be shucking throughout the day alongside the shack's usual lunchtime/afternoon service.

The book can be purchased online but will also be available on the day to buy from the man himself.

Ok folks, so you may remember us posting a picture the fabulous Michel Roux Jr. back in August... well, we can now finally fill you guys in on what it was all about!

We had TV Producers Boomerang join us for a day of filming down at King Edwards Bay for a brand new TV Series in which Michel explores small, out of the way dining experiences before creating a 'Hidden Kitchen' of his own.

We had a fab day cooking and chatting with Michel for what turned out to be the final voyage of the old bicycle shack... what a way to go!!!

The series begins this Wednesday Channel 4, 8pm.

So, our co-founders Riley's Fish Shack did a spot of filming with the amazing Michel Roux Jr. on Sunday... congrats, this HAD to be shared!

We're so pleased and proud to see the North East food and drink scene go from strength to strength!

For those of you missing the Steamer, we'd like you to know that still no dates are fixed but we'll be sure to let you know of any further developments as soon as we do.

With our Bank Holiday Special well and truly funked out, we’re now only days away from Septembers event...

We’re absolutely bowled over by the food line-up we’ve managed to pull together and can’t wait to get stuck in!

We’ve a few Steamer virgins this time with the likes of Zouk Tea Bar & Grill straight from competing in British Street Food awards earlier this summer The Crema Caravan with their burned to order Creme Brule's Ginger's Comfort Emporium with Ice Cream to die for Yakumama with a taste of Latin America and The Asian Project to name but a few.

Other traders to include The Mac Shack, North Street Feast (with their delicious tandoor baked flatbreads) The Naked Geordies - Clean & Lean La Petite Crêperie Newcastle The Doughnut Guy Nan Bei Dumpling & Tea Bar Lola Jeans Newcastle Claw-Hide Trial Shift (that Al Pastor was something else!) El Kantina 's Pizza and Halfa Halfa.
