☀️A Fantastic Day for the Lady Chair’s Competition ⛳️

What a lovely day for Chris Nicholson’s Lady Chair’s competition last Saturday! Chris has clearly arranged for the sunshine, and our greens staff had the course in excellent condition 👏

A total of 27 ladies took part in the 18 hole competition, with Kath Morpeth taking the win with an excellent 34 points.

In the 9 hole competition, four ladies took part, with Rita Coles claiming victory with a fantastic 21 points. Rita has recently joined us from the Ladies Academy at HGPGC, so it’s lovely to see her already enjoying success!

A big thank you to Chris for organising such an enjoyable day, which was rounded off perfectly with some lovely refreshments after the golf.

Well done to both winners, and thank you to everyone who took part! 😀

What a fabulous day we had yesterday, for our final Open of the year!⛳️

57 couples joined us from clubs across Northumberland and beyond, enjoying beautiful October weather which showed the course off at its very best.

A huge shout out to our greens staff, with many of our visitors commenting on the excellent condition of the course and greens. 👏

Congratulations to the winning couple from Westerhope, who finished with a fantastic 46 points.

Also well done to our own Hazel Dalton and Geoffrey Plant, who were 2nd with 45 points, Colin and Gill Davison from Tynemouth, 3rd with 42 points (pictured finishing the 2nd), a couple from Billingham, 4th with 42 points, and Kath and Ken Morpeth, 5th with 41 points.

A big thank you to everyone who took part, supported the raffle and helped with the organisation. And, of course, our kitchen team, who kept everyone fed throughout the day until the final group finished and enjoyed a well-earned drink at 6.30pm! 🍻

Thank you to everyone who helped make our final Open of the year such a great success 👏

🏆 Mixed Greensomes Trophy

We held the second round of our Mixed Greensomes Trophy last Sunday, with Chris Nicholson and Ryan McDade coming out on top over the two rounds.

The weather certainly made things challenging, with high winds and driving rain making for some tough conditions! 🌧️💨

Congratulations to Chris and Ryan on a fantastic result, and well done to everyone who took part.

Our mixed competitions continue to prove very popular, and we’re already looking forward to more great events next season! ⛳

A different kind of course visitor yesterday!

This heron was spotted enjoying the water’s edge on the 2nd.

He looks very relaxed…. clearly hasn’t got a tee time to worry about! 😂

Just another day at High Gosforth Park, where you never know what you might see on the course.
