‘From The PajottenLand’

Lambic Showcase

You may have seen the news already but we’re so excited to be back at the excellent Rigg & Furrow this May.

Pouring alongside some of the UK’s best Farmhouse and low intervention brewers, we’ll be bringing a great lineup of Belgian Lambic and Gueuze beer celebrating the classics and also the more modern experimental side of lambic beer.

Full lineup to be announced but you can expect all of the usual suspects and some lesser seen treats!

From The Land Festival takes place 2nd & 3rd May at Rigg and Furrow’s quite incredible taproom and event space in Acklington, Northumberland.

You can find tickets details over on their profile including details of a return bus from Newcastle on the Sunday!

Rigg and Furrow taproom is for us the best beer experience the North East has to offer right now, and From The Land festival takes it to the next level! You’d be mad to miss out 😊

TYNESIDE LAMBIC TRAIL

This weekend is the return of the TYNESIDE LAMBIC TRAIL with eight great bars teaming up to offer some of the finest lambic and mixed ferm beers from Belgium, the UK and beyond.

There’s no tickets, no set route, no ‘right way’ of doing the trail. Just an excuse to get out and about and drink some great beer in great bars.

The bars is in pairs across Heaton, Ouseburn, City Centre and Gateshead Railway Quarter, so if you only fancy heading to one or two there’s a couple of options close by.

Each bar will be pouring one ‘showcase beer’ but many have got above and beyond with including pouring more lambic on keg or via bottle pour, serving other Belgian classics and even theming their food and snacks for the weekend.

Some breweries you can expect to see over the trail include Cantillon, Tilquin, Oud Beersel, Wildflower, Little Earth, Burnt Mill, 3 Fontainen & more.

So whether you’re doing the trail as a group, a pair or on your own we’re sure you’ll see lots of familiar faces and enjoy lots of incredible beer!

See you on the trail!

TYNESIDE LAMBIC TRAIL IS BACK!
🇧🇪 🍻 🍷

January 24-25 2026.

Back for the three-peat, the Tyneside Lambic Trail returns for 2026. A weekend of some of our favourite beer bars pouring world class lambic and mixed fermentation beer from the UK, Europe and Beyond.

This year’s event starts on Saturday 24th January, and if that seems like short notice, we’re sorry, it’s due to the congested and confusing NUFC fixture list which which has unfolded 9 matches in January including 6 home matches which have to be avoided.

The NUFC diehards among you will realise there’s a home match on Sunday 25th but we have to squeeze in somewhere so this is the compromise.

With that in mind we’re not straying too far away from the format for Lambic Trail 2026. After all, how can you improve on a nice wander round good pubs with pals 😊

Over the weekend 24/25 January each bar will be serving world class lambic, or lambic inspired beer. This may take the form of some of the more well known Belgian Brewers, modern UK interpretations or even beers from further afield.

Over the weekend we’ll be organising a few popup tastings which we’ll announce nearer the time, and I know the bars are working on little extras to make the weekend even more special.

As always there’s no tickets, no entry fees, just brilliant Tyneside pubs serving world class beer and doing what they do best.

Watch this space for details of our host venues and some little teasers of this year’s lineup, but for now please save the date and SPREAD THE WORD 🙏

Thanks to everyone that came to the pop up shop today, and over the last week.

We go again tomorrow 10-1, in a change from previously advertised hours, but figure everyone’s going to be watching a certain fußball match after that.

So if you need a few Christmas bits, or even something to watch the match with, come say hello 🙋‍♂️ 🎄 🍻 🍷 🇧🇪

THIS WEEKEND!!

Yes, we’ve posted about it before, but for some reason the algorithm isn’t being kind, so we’ve made a very bright and simple image 😀

This weekend we’re hosting a pop up Christmas drinks shop in Wallsend shopping centre with our good pals and

We’ve got tonnes of great beer, wine, spirits and cocktails that would be perfect for both gifts, and personal treats.

We’ve pitched in with some of our favourite Belgian Christmas Beers, some new UK festive beers plus a host of great gift packs and some world class sharing bottles.

Tomorrow we’ll also be cracking open a bottle or two for some tasters, and Angus has his incredible house made Eggnog available by the glass in the shop.

We’ve had a lovely few days so far and met some great people, but getting the word out has been tough. If you can, we’d love it if you could share this post to your stories and help us get over the line this weekend.

A million Festive Thanks 🙏

DAY 3 popping up in Wallsend and Angus has the Eggnog out.Come grab a glass and pick up some Christmas treats 😀
