The Fox at Peasemore is a special place just a short drive from the nearby towns of Newbury or Wantage and just a quick and peaceful detour from the A34 and Junctions 13 and 14 of the M4. Philip and Lauren moved to The Fox at Peasemore in 2013 and since then have transformed it into a great destination village dining country pub, that also sits at the heart of it’s welcoming rural community. Over this time, we have gained an excellent reputation for the quality of our food and service, as well as offering a great selection of wine, local ales, and soft drinks. The Fox at Peasemore really has something for everyone…… with Children and dogs especially made welcome. The building and decor are charming and rustic, with elegant modern touches. We have a cosy log burner perfect for those winter evenings, a beautiful covered and heated courtyard garden terrace, filled with Laurens pretty flowers and herbs, plus plenty of other outside seating overlooking stunning countryside for those lazy summer afternoons. So, whether it’s a bite to eat after a walk around the beautiful countryside, a meal for a special occasion, a relaxing catch up or celebration with family or friends, or just a pint of local ale after a cricket match on the adjoining village cricket pitch, The Fox at Peasemore’s friendly and welcoming atmosphere will leave you in no doubt that it is, above all else… the country pub worth driving out for. We do not consider ourselves a gastro pub, but rather a genuine rural country pub, that offers you quality, freshly prepared home-made food, using quality ingredients and cooked for you by our great Head Chef and his team in our kitchen.
