The Red House is a traditional thatched pub set in the beautiful West Berkshire countryside. We have a busy, buzzing bar with tables, as well as a lovely restaurant overlooking the countryside. The private room leads out onto our meadow garden, perfect for summer parties and weddings, as well as our large front terrace to enjoy those sunny afternoons. We pride ourselves on our excellent service an

d friendly atmosphere, whether you are here to enjoy a break from a country walk or a beautiful three-course meal that you can choose from a wide selection of dishes such as traditional fish and chips, prime fillet steak and local game.

We regret to inform you that this week’s much-loved Fish & Chip Friday will be taking a short (and entirely unplanned) holiday🐟

Due to a technical issue in the kitchen - the Fish & Chips aren’t able to be served today. We’re working hard to get everything back up and running as soon as possible, and we really appreciate your understanding.

However we have plenty of other cracking food waiting for you, come down, grab a drink and enjoy some proper pub fare🍻
