We have a busy, buzzing bar with tables, as well as a lovely restaurant overlooking the countryside. In addition, we have a luxurious events room for all occasions. The private room leads out onto our meadow garden, perfect for summer parties and weddings, as well as our large front terrace to enjoy those sunny afternoons. We pride ourselves on our excellent service and friendly atmosphere, whether you are here to enjoy a break from a country walk or a beautiful three-course meal that you can choose from a wide selection of dishes such as traditional fish and chips, prime fillet steak and local game.

As with most refurbishments.......sometimes there can be the odd spanner thrown in to catch you off guard!

However, with that in mind, I am happy to announce we will be opening around the 2nd week of September - no exact date yet (see above) but once we know, you'll know!!!

In the meantime, please see our opening days and times for both the pub and the kitchen

We are recruiting!!!

*Sous Chef* for our fresh food kitchen -

Join our founding team and enjoy working in our refurbished kitchen, which has been fitted with all new equipment and is designed to enable our chefs to produce fresh, inventive and delicious food, using local produce.

As Sous chef you will work closely with our Head Chef and help develop new, seasonal dishes to an exacting standard, with passion and flare.

At the Red House we aim to serve sensational dishes which will put the pub firmly back on the map, creating excellence and consistency.

Responsibilities:

* Work closely with the Head Chef contributing to menu development.

* Maintain high standards of food safety and health & safety.

* Oversee food production and help train developing chefs.

* Manage stock levels, coordinate with suppliers and control waste.

We are reopening!!!

My name is Dan and I am the new General Manager at the Red House, working for Edwin, who is the owner of the pub. Together with Chef Dan (yes, two Dans!), Edwin and myself, we are so very excited to bring this historic venue back to being one of your favourite places to unwind, enjoy a delicious meal, or just pop in for a pint of local ale.

We've been beavering away, bringing the pub back to it's former glory.

So far we've re-done the cellar, kitchen and terrace, decorated the bar area and began cutting back and planting the big garden, which, as I'm sure you all know, leads on to the stream and stunning views of the marsh land beyond.

Enjoy watching our daily updates and don't forget to look out for our Opening Date, new menu, building progress and so much more.

We can't wait to meet you!
