Arlington Arts Centre

Arlington Arts Centre Arlington Arts is a venue in Newbury showcasing live music, theatre, dance, comedy, art and more

Arlington Arts Centre opened in October 2006, with singer KT Tunstall being both the guest of honour and the first artist to perform on stage – alongside students from Mary Hare. The venue has since maintained a strong reputation for its sometimes daring programme of live music, featuring breaking artists and emerging talent alongside better known performers. The programme of live events is divers

e, offering high quality comedy, visual arts, theatre and family entertainment. However the emphasis still remains on extraordinary experiences that have yet to make it to the mainstream. Arlington Arts’ fully furnished suite of conference rooms and the auditorium have also become regarded as one of the finest training and corporate events facilities in the south of England, being used regularly by Sovereign, St John Ambulance, British Equine Veterinary Association, NADFAS, idox, Intensive Marketing, BSHAA and many others. Arlington Arts Centre is a trading name of Mary Hare Services Ltd. As such, all of the profits from Arlington Arts Centre go directly to Mary Hare, the national charity for young deaf people.

Our friends over at ACE Space have an exciting show coming up next weekend with Katie Grace Harris & Lauren South.

The ACE Space gig on Saturday 13th June brings together two musicians who have both previously appeared there but on separate occasions. Katie Grace Harris and Lauren South are both singer/songwriters, musical educators and multi-instrumentalists. They met on the local folk scene in the Midlands just before lockdown and bonded over shared parenting and music stories. Lauren, Katie and other gigging mums have met several times since to enjoy making music and supporting each other. Lauren and Katie usually save their shared music for themselves but are coming together, in the round for this one performance alongside cellist Andy Nice to showcase their individual music and some shared pieces.
