Arlington Arts Centre

Arlington Arts Centre Arlington Arts is a venue in Newbury showcasing live music, theatre, dance, comedy, art and more

Arlington Arts Centre opened in October 2006, with singer KT Tunstall being both the guest of honour and the first artist to perform on stage – alongside students from Mary Hare. The venue has since maintained a strong reputation for its sometimes daring programme of live music, featuring breaking artists and emerging talent alongside better known performers. The programme of live events is diverse, offering high quality comedy, visual arts, theatre and family entertainment. However the emphasis still remains on extraordinary experiences that have yet to make it to the mainstream. Arlington Arts’ fully furnished suite of conference rooms and the auditorium have also become regarded as one of the finest training and corporate events facilities in the south of England, being used regularly by Sovereign, St John Ambulance, British Equine Veterinary Association, NADFAS, idox, Intensive Marketing, BSHAA and many others. Arlington Arts Centre is a trading name of Mary Hare Services Ltd. As such, all of the profits from Arlington Arts Centre go directly to Mary Hare, the national charity for young deaf people.

Friday 18 September - Sunday 20 September

Immerse yourself in the iconic music of Queen and a hilarious, high-energy storyline by Ben Elton, this smash-hit musical takes you on a journey to a future where rock ‘n’ roll is banned – until a group of rebel Bohemians fight to bring it back.

With anthems like Bohemian Rhapsody, Don’t Stop Me Now, Another One Bites the Dust, Somebody to Love, and, of course, We Are the Champions, this rock concert style show will bring the timeless hits that made Queen rock royalty to life.

Our second memory to celebrate 20 years of Arlington Arts Centre is from March 2007, when MOJO award-winning and BRIT award nominee Seasick Steve performed at Arlington Arts Centre during his breakthrough year.

Seasick Steve: A trainhopping, jailbirding, cowboying, carnival working, migrant farm picking, occasional tramping old hobo who sings the blues. In short, he's the real deal.

One month to go until the irrepressible Hannah Wicklund performs at Arlington Arts Centre 😁

Her newest record War On Women; Calling All Good Men was funded entirely by her artwork amidst her legal battle to get the rights to her catalog back from an industry that conspired to keep her quiet and the reviews have been fantastic:

"Gutsy, emotive rock with hard-hitting guitar and a nuanced, feminist soul. Her character and quality as a writer and guitarist grow ever stronger." Guitarist Magazine

"Thirteen sublime, scorching songs, at once a warning and a winner’s lap." Rick At Night
