This will be my last post on Facebook as I will be handing it over to the brewery so they can keep everyone updated as to the future of the Waggon, I hope the new landlord is able to keep up the good standard of food and service and hopefully keep the pub as the heart of the village.

I just wanted to thank everyone again for all their support over the years and those that visited us for our final few weeks and our last blowout weekend.

I have updated the pubs instagram page so you can still keep in touch, and I can keep the memory alive of the place that myself and my staff worked hard at for over 10 years.

I have met some wonderful people while at the Waggon and leaving has left me conflicted, feeling positive for change and hopefully a better family and work life balance, but also very sad as I didn’t want to feel as pushed out as I was.

I’m not very good at long goodbyes but please give the link below a follow if you don’t already and it will be wonderful to keep in touch on there.

A huge thank you to everyone who came and supported us last night! 💛

I still can’t believe my time at The Waggon is coming to an end. Today we’ll be open with a limited menu, so if you’re not too hungover—or if you just want one final ‘Waggon’ experience—we’ll be serving from 12pm, with food available until 2pm.

A massive thank you to all my amazing customers and incredible staff who have supported me over the years. You’ve made this journey unforgettable! 🙏✨

Starting to feel a little run down and tired who knew closing a business would be so physically and mentally exhausting, but still, we keep on smiling, today was the day we said goodbye to reprobates from who have been supplying the Waggon with top quality meat these past years

Today is also the last time I’ll be baking fresh bread for you all. We’ve been so touched by the wonderful support over the past few days, with so many of you joining us one final time before we say goodbye. It’s been a truly special journey, and we’d love to share one last meal together. 💛

🔥 STOP SCROLLING! Big news from The Waggon… 🔥

This is it—the start of our last week of trading after 10 unforgettable years. I still can’t believe I’m about to start a brand-new chapter of my life. I have worked hard to make the Waggon what it is today, a place that serves great food and a fantastic welcoming atmosphere

I don’t know what the future holds for The Waggon, especially with hospitality facing challenges that could hit even harder than lockdown.

This week, we’ll be running down our stock, so things may disappear fast. We need you to come help support the Waggon one final time and drink The Waggon dry, laugh, reminisce, and say goodbye together.

To all the incredible customers who’ve supported me and my amazing team over the years: thank you from the bottom of my heart. The Waggon wouldn’t be what it is without you. Let’s make this final week truly unforgettable! ❤️
