Sympathetically improved in recent years, The Ship's a timeless pub that oozes character and charm, along with a warm and welcoming crew to make you feel right at home. Thanks to its beautiful location, the pub enjoys stunning views across the Dee marshes over to the hills of North Wales. The menu is an interesting mix of pub classics with some more interesting seasonal dishes including the not-so-ordinary too taking inspiration from around the world.

There's only 4 more days until Mike, Chloe, Ellie and (new addition) Kat take on the 'Offas D**e Challenge' - 26.2 miles / 40k walk through Wales, all in support of the Butterfly Suite at Arrowe Park Hospital 🦋

🍹Our Charity cocktails are still available, curated by our wonderful shift supervisors Ben & Carys - with every cocktail sold we will donate £1 towards the Butterfly Suite.

Why have we chosen the Butterfly Suite for this year's charity walk?

Here's a message from our General Manager Mike :

"In early February, my wife and I lost our baby girl, Hallie, who was born sleeping. The Butterfly Suite at Arrowe Park gave us a safe and private space to grieve and say goodbye to our daughter.
We're so thankful to the midwives for their care and compassion, and to the families who made the suite possible through their fundraising and support. Any donations will help maintain the suite, ensuring other families suffering a loss have the same time and space to grieve.

Hallie, your mum and dad love you."

🦋 Charity Cocktail Specials 🦋

Our team recently went head-to-head in a cocktail competition to see who could create the most delicious and dazzling drink. After plenty of shaking, stirring, and taste-testing, two cocktails truly stole the show! 🍸✨

Chocolate Orange Espresso Martini (created by Ben)
A rich and indulgent blend of vodka, Tia Maria, fresh coffee, Cointreau, chocolate syrup, and chocolate bitters.

Citrus & Elderflower Martini (created by Carys)
A light, refreshing mix of Malfy Lemon Gin, St-Germain elderflower liqueur, lemon juice, and gomme syrup

Even better? For every cocktail sold, £1 will be donated to support the Butterfly Suite at Arrowe Park Hospital 🦋

The Butterfly Suite is part of Arrowe Park maternity ward providing a quiet, private space for families facing the heartbreaking loss of a baby.

Our current white wines of the moment are made for sunshine, fresh air, and good vibes 😉

But if you're after something for lunch or dinner we can't recommend the Baboon Rock Unwooded Chardonnay (South Africa) enough, especially paired with Sea Trout. Served with pommes anne, peas, samphire, tenderstem broccoli, white wine veloute, and chive oil.

A huge good luck to Mike, Chloe & Ellie who are representing The Ship in this year's charity walk - 26.2 miles (40km) along the Offas D**e path. This year we are supporting the Butterfly Suite at Arrowe Park Hospital a charity that's close to all of our hearts.

A message from Mike our General Manager:
