It’s not been the best week here on the farm, in fact it would be fair to say it’s been sh*t.
One of our home bred goats cocoa got into a fight with another goat and she died.
Losing animals is so bloody hard, but our goats are, as a lot of you know, very special.
Then today Tony macaroni had to go to the vets with a limp. He’s torn his cruciate ligament. The quote is £3600. We’ve got some tough questions to ask.
He’s not insured as insurers don’t like to insure dogs on farms and if they do it’s extortionate as they might be worked. As a lot of you will know Tony does work, he’s a cuddle dog during our visits.
Working and owning animals is hard, they grab your heart and squeeze.

The training is over, the goats now run straight to where they are meant to be grazing and return back on command. They really have amazed us. Next stop working with the National Trust conservation grazing.

Another amazing 2 weeks of opening our farm gates to over 25 groups of amazing people. We’re still not sure whether the parents or children had more fun!!
The pigs are exhausted, the goats are full to the brim of cuddles and Tony Macaroni is watching and waiting for you all to visit again.

Thank you so much all your support. Farming ain’t easy, but meeting you all and sharing our world is wonderful.

Follow us to ensure you get our next opening dates, it’ll be in spring to bottle feed the lambs and meet the new goat kids.

Took us 5 days to teach the goats how to get to this piece of goat heaven, but they definitely remember now.

Two years ago Harry applied to go to Peru with the scouts and was successful.
Then began the work of raising the money. This is for all of you who supported him. Whether it was sponsoring him to do a gruelling cross country run in a cow suit, or messaging us to collect your Christmas trees, or buying stuff at the numerous car boot sales, or entering the Hebden, the scouts fell race, you’re fab.
The biggest thank you goes to sea scouts at sowerby bridge who made it all happen.
Well the day was yesterday and off they all went.
Thank you to everyone of you who helped make this possible.
