MEET THE TEAM: ANDY - OUR INVERNESS BAR MANAGER 🍻

Andy has been part of Black Isle for ten (long) years, managing our Inverness bar and keeping things running smoothly, from looking after the team to making sure that the good pints keep flowing.

Favourite Black Isle b**r? Scotch Ale - "It's a tremendous example of the style, and not many other people do it as well as we do."

And if he had to be a Black Isle b**r himself? Scotch Ale again, for exactly the same reason!

As the days get shorter and the temperatures drop, we're turning our attention to one of our darkest favourites - our organic Porter.

Rich, dark and full of character, with roasted malt flavours, notes of chocolate and coffee, with a smooth finish.

A look back to summer and the opening of the new Affric Bar in Cannich!

What started as a wee bar inside a converted bus has grown into something pretty special. Now with a beautiful new bar, b**r garden, hearty pub meals and plenty of Black Isle b**rs pouring on tap, it's a fantastic addition to the village.

We were delighted to play a part in bringing the new Affric Bar to life, and it's brilliant to see how far they've come from humble beginnings.

A proper community pub in the heart of Cannich, and the perfect pit stop after a day exploring Glen Affric.

If you're passing through, be sure to pop in for a pint and show them some support! 🍻

The story about our wooden tap handles & plaques.

Dutch elm disease has devastated elm trees across the UK, and sadly, some of the elms here on our farm have been affected too. Where we can, we leave the dead trees standing, providing habitat for birds, insects, plants and other wildlife.

When a tree does need to come down, the timber doesn’t go to waste. Some of it makes its way to local woodturner Andy, who gives the elm a new lease of life, shaping it by hand into the tap handles and plaques you’ll find pouring Black Isle b**r in bars across the country!

It’s a small part of our wider commitment to working with nature rather than against it - looking after the land around us, making use of what we already have, and wasting as little as possible.

Meet Spider Mosaic - a fresh spin on our long-time favourite, Spider Monkey 🕷️🐒

Organic Mosaic hops take centre stage, bringing big pineapple aromas, tropical passion fruit and guava, and juicy mango and blueberry flavours. A crisp IPA bite meets a soft malt finish.

Tucked away on Great Western Road, The Belle has quite the history. Once a grocer's shop, then w**e merchant and later a pub called The Western, it's now a cosy West end favourite, complete with an open fire, plenty of character and a warm welcome for fluffy friends 🐶

You'll find our organic Blonde L***r and Nitro Red pouring at the bar.

Pop in for a pint and enjoy with friends over a board game. 🎲

Red Kite 🔴

Our organic 4.2% red ale, full of rich toffee, biscuit and roasted malt flavours, with hints of berry jam and herbal aromas.

Named after the magnificent red kites that soar above the Black Isle, these birds were reintroduced to the area in 1989 after disappearing from Scotland in the 19th century.

A b**r inspired by the wildlife right on our doorstep. 🌿
