Jan's funeral arrangements

Morning guys.
The funeral arrangements for Jan are as follows..🌹

Tuesday 3rd November
Jan will leave on her final journey from the car park at Dee path to Holytown Crematorium for an 11:30am service.
All those who knew my mum are kindly invited to attend.

Family and close friends are then invited to join them for the team afterwards..

We are unable to put into words how we would begin to thank everyone for the kindness, support and compassion that has been shown to us at this heartbreaking time. My mum always saw the best in people and I just wish she could see how many amazing people have surrounded us with help and kindness.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. 🤍

❤️ FROM HOLYTOWN WITH LOVE
Well, where do we even begin?
When Janice and I decided to start a fundraising appeal to help Jan's girls following the heartbreaking loss of their mum, we hoped that the good people of Holytown would rally round and help us make things just that wee bit easier for them.
But never in our wildest dreams did we expect the response we've had. ❤️
Our JustGiving page has now reached an incredible £5,500, and is still open.
We've been genuinely overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity shown by so many people.
From the local businesses who have contributed so generously, to everyone who donated whatever they could afford, shared the appeal or simply offered a few kind words, sent cards, flowers etc to the family a huge thank you.❤️

Every single one of you has played a part in helping this family at a time when they need it most.
The fundraising, was to help take away some of the financial worry, for the girls.
To help them concentrate on trying to come to terms, with the shock, of losing Jan,their precious mum,so suddenly.
Jan was well known and loved by so many people, and I think the response to this appeal just shows, how much love there was for her, here in Holytown,and her home village . ❤️

We've always said you're a special kind of people here in Holytown, you never cease to amaze us, and over the past week you've proved that once again.
But for now, we just wanted to say thank you.🌹
Not just for the money raised, but for the kindness, compassion and genuine love you've shown Jan's girls,and the family.❤️

You've done yourselves proud again Holytown, and more importantly, you've done Jan proud. ❤️

🍻🎉 ANOTHER BRILLIANT NIGHT AT THE WHITE HOUSE! 🎉🍻
What another cracking party we had last night! 🥳
A massive thank you to Louise and Stephen, and all their family, friends and work colleagues who came along and made it such a fantastic night! ❤️
And of course, a big shout-out to Super Joe on the decks, keeping everyone entertained as always! 🎶🎤
I'm feeling a wee bit rough this morning, mind you! 😂🍺 Me and the boss lady are obviously not used to being on THAT side of the bar!,some even joked oh you do have legs🤣.
But do you know what? We've got a cracking wee boozer here in Holytown, with an absolutely amazing team of staff, even if I do say so myself! 😂❤️
Great people, great atmosphere and plenty of laughs. That's what a proper wee local pub is all about! 🍻

Hi guys there is a protest this Sunday in Glasgow, and the organisers are looking for any donations,of baby shoes,booties etc you can drop them off at the pub Friday or Saturday.🩵🩷

Dear Parents and Families,

We are reaching out to invite you to join us for an important protest calling for answers, accountability, and safer maternity and neonatal services.

Following the devastating loss of babies and the pain experienced by so many families, we believe that families deserve answers and that meaningful change is urgently needed to help prevent further tragedies.

We are calling for a public inquiry into maternity and neonatal services. Families deserve to have their voices heard, their experiences acknowledged, and their concerns taken seriously. Every baby deserves the safest possible start in life, and every family deserves to feel confident that the care they receive is safe.

🕛 Time: 12 noon – 2 pm

We understand that this is an incredibly sensitive and emotional issue, particularly for those who have experienced baby loss, trauma, or difficulties with maternity and neonatal care. This protest is an opportunity to stand together in solidarity, remember the babies and families affected, and call for transparency, accountability, and lasting improvements.

Whether you have been personally affected, want to support another family, or believe that every baby deserves safe and compassionate care, your presence can help make a difference.

Masons Matter & Baby loss retreat

We are still looking for baby and toddler shoes or booties for the protest this Sunday 🩵

They can be in any condition. Each one will represent a baby who has lost their life. If anyone has any they would be willing to donate, please let us know. We can collect them if you are local or cover the postage costs.

I also know some people are knitting, so this is another lovely option.

We would love to honour all 406 babies on Sunday and make sure they are remembered as more than just statistics. Every single one of them matters.

Thank you so much to everyone who has helped so far. We have already received a huge number of donations, and we are so grateful for every single one 🥹🩵
