Well, it's HUMP DAY folks, and quite frankly I've had that much of the hump this week I'm considering having it registered as a permanent feature! 😂 It's only Wednesday and my patience has already packed a suitcase, booked a one-way ticket and left without saying goodbye! But never mind, we can smell the weekend from here and we're more than ready for it! Now tonight we've got a bit of a football juggling act on our hands. At 5.45pm it's AEK Athens v Real Madrid and Fenerbahçe v Liverpool, then at 8pm RB Leipzig v Man City and Slavia Prague v Arsenal. Two boxes, four matches and me with the technical ability of a teaspoon, so if you see me staring at the remotes like they're going to explain themselves, just give me a minute! Now, before I completely lose the plot, a little word about Sunday. Remembrance Sunday at The Chieftain is one of those days that means the world to us. It's not about filling a pub, it's about remembering the people who never came home, listening to the stories of those who did, sharing memories, laughter and sometimes a tear or two. We'll be raising money for the Royal British Legion with our raffle, and as always we'll let you know exactly what we've raised. And to our wonderful veterans, polish those medals, wear them proudly and come and see us. Your tot of port or rum is on us, as it should be. Some days are for making memories, others are for honouring them, and Sunday we'll be doing a bit of both. Right, I'm off to find my patience. If anyone spots it, please return it to the bar. No questions asked!
