OK people, it’s a bit late for the start of the season due to other commitments, however, the Last Man Standing sheet will be up on the noticeboard on Thurs 20th for sign up and starting on fixtures of 28th August. £5 entry, same rules as before, if theres a Fri night game picks need to be done by 18.30 on the Fri. Please, this is a fun event and winner takes all, so no collusion by the usual suspect please😜

OK folks, the (significant) distraction of the footie World Cup has now subsided, so we need to gauge interest in the postponed golf tournament. 2 dates proposed, 6 th & 13th September. We are aware that these may not be suitable for everyone, but would really like to hold a competition this year as last years was totally washed out.
So, there will be a sheet put up in the Horse for your 1’st and 2 nd preferences, once we have an idea of numbers, can look at a venue, and fees/ travel etc. If you can manage both, then just put a 1 against both options.
PLEASE do not put your preferences on this page as this is just to notify you of our intention to hold the competition.

Well folks, the inaugural Black Horse bowling day was a resounding success. 👏 Thanks must go to Montrose bowling club for allowing us to use their facilities and the hospitality provided.
Also big Thanks to Eck Barnes for ensuring we were sustained throughout the afternoon.
Final shout out is to everyone that attended, whether playing or supporting, it was a great day out, and the generosity of those that attended, along with the wonderful gesture of the refunded puddings by the butcher, ensured a wonderful donation to Mike Hutch for his kilt walk in memory of his sister Lucy.
Obviously the hospitality continued back at The Horse and already looking forward to next year.

Thanks to everyone who has signed up for the inaugural Black Horse bowls competition on 2nd Aug at Montrose bowling club. We have reached our number so no more entries are required.
Entry fee of £5 covers green fees and stovies provided by Master of Ceremonies Eck Barnes. Trophies and raffle prizes provided kindly by Black Horse Tartan Army. Any other donations would be welcome for raffle prizes, however, most important thing is people enjoy themselves.
12.00 muster for potential 12.30 start.
Please bring CASH for the bar.
