Montrose gossip – I’d rather share the truth before the rumours start.

I was absolutely devastated to receive a call from the brewery yesterday morning informing me that Sharkys is one of 150 pubs across Scotland that will be sold.

I’m still trying to process the news, as I had no idea this was coming. At our last meeting, they were still pushing for me to commit to a 3–5 year tenancy, so this has come as a complete shock.

At this stage, I understand that the pub will be put on the market, but I don’t know when that will happen or how long the process will take. To be honest, there’s still a lot of uncertainty, and I’m unsure what the future holds for Sharkys.

What I can say is that we will continue trading for as long as we possibly can and will keep everyone updated as we learn more.

Thank you to all our customers and supporters for your continued loyalty and understanding.
