Some tell you the story of a lady who used to let her lover know the coast was clear by leaving a mop outside at night. Others claim a local rugby team used to jog past the same frozen mop week after week in the winter, and soon started referring to their favourite pub as The Frozen Mop. Either way,

it's a beautiful old Cheshire pub set in a timeless village that dates back to the Doomsday Book.
