Jazz at the Tavern - formerly Taphouse Jazz with craft beer and great food at the Lion and Sun Tavern (formerly known as the Brewery Tap House MK). Monthly on the 3rd Wednesday,

We run jazz sessions on the 3rd Wednesday of each month except for August, starting 8 pm. Free entry, voluntary donation to cover guest fees. Our house band is Paul Clark (sax); Sam Montero or Ryan McCaffery (keys); Dick Clarke (gtr); Andy Faulkner (bass); Neil Wells (drums).

Our sessions are now booked through to July. Our guest for July 15 is Northampton-based guitarist Ed Arm (and jam session). Before then 2 great sax players and a fabulous male vocalist

Just a note to make sure you all know that our venue has changed its name, but all else is the same. It is now known as the Lion and Sun Tavern.

Our venue is very soon going to change its name from MK Brewery Tap House to “The Lion & Sun Tavern”. The ownership and management will be unchanged. In their words “By becoming The Lion and Sun Tavern, we are proud to be the first UK drinking establishment to consciously adopt the Lion and Sun name and symbolism as our primary identity, representing strength, hope and resilience. While our name has changed, our commitment to good beer, warm hospitality, and bringing people together remains exactly the same”

We will in consequence adjust the name of our events, most likely to “Jazz at the Tavern”
