We’re hosting a bonus Open Mic Night tomorrow evening Tuesday 8th Sept from 7:30pm as part of our fundraising week in the lead up to Something To Say - a tribute to Dave Speakman 🎸🎹

Dave has hosted & played at countless of our open mics over the years, helping create the kind of atmosphere that made people want to get up and give it a go. So this one’s all about live music, local musicians and bringing everyone together, whether playing or listening, everyone is welcome 🤗

Hosted by our quiz master turned bingo host, Darren Roberts, it’s set to be a fun afternoon with cash prizes to be won, a big cash game, music, dancing & plenty of bingo banter 🎱🍻

We’ve already got some absolutely brilliant prizes lined up for the festival, and there are still more being added.

Current highlights include a canal boat holiday for 4 with Andersen Boats (See below for details), 2 x 1-hour flight simulator experiences with Runway Flight Simulators, a £100 bar tab at the Kings Lock, fajitas for 2 at Chimichangos, a brewery tour for 4 at Beartown Brewery, a signed Tim Burgess / The Charlatans T-shirt plus other Charlatans merch, a Makita drill bit set, Gin Hamper, various other hampers, alcohol, vouchers, B**r Festival tickets and loads more.

We had a very special visitor at The Kings Lock yesterday! 👀

Tom Walker personally stopped by to donate a signed guitar to the auction that will be taking place in aid of Cheshire Mind, & Macmillan at next week’s all day music festival Something To Say - a tribute to Dave Speakman 💙

Tom was taught guitar by Dave for many years when he was younger, so we’re so grateful for his generous donation & support 👏
