Goth social at Middlesbrough Town Hall this Friday (1st March) and at ARC Stockton next week (8th March):
💀 NEW IN 💀 Bus Stop Goths: Goth Social
Calling all goths/ex goths! Did you grow up in the north east? Did you/do you consider yourself to be a goth? Emo? Mosher? Alt kid?
If that’s you, we’re having a party! A sesh! A reunion of sorts! Think goth-afied school disco.
The goth social will be a chance to meet up with fellow folk, tell your stories, eat some scran, listen to tunes, play some games, and win some prizes donated by some well lush local businesses!
ARC Associate artist Audrey Cook is curating an exhibition that celebrates these alt youth subcultures, featuring stories, portraits, music playlists, all looking to highlight and represent the community. So as an optional extra to the social, local writers will be around to hear your stories, and a photographer will be around to get some portraits that may go up in our ‘Bus Stop Goths’ exhibition.
Dress code: Come as you were – a nostalgic look back on your alt/goth self!
