Did you know?

Andrew Pears, the inventor of the famous Pears transparent soap, was born in the village of Mevagissey in 1770 before moving to London to launch his creation in 1807.

The last of our cocktails is the Cosmopolitan (£8.50)
Combining cranberry, vodka and a variety of citrus flavours, this is a delicious way to kick off (or end) your evening here at the Harbour Tavern Mevagissey

There are various different stories about this cocktail's inventor, but the flavours we now know were combined some time in the 1970s or 1980s in the US

The drink's fame skyrocketed in the 1990s when Madonna was photographed drinking one at the Rainbow Room, followed by continuous, iconic placement on the television series S*x and the City.

Aperol is a blend of bittersweet herbs, gentian, rhubarb, and cinchona. It was first invented in 1919.

The spritz combines Aperol, prosecco, soda and a slice of orange with ice. If you have been to Italy, it's hard to miss people sitting in the sun drinking this gorgeous bright orange drink 🧡🧡🧡

The Pornstar Martini is a sweet and tangy passion fruit cocktail made with a hint of vanilla, shaken over ice and served with a side shot of prosecco.

It has been a weekend of wedding celebrations, welcoming two couples into our pub.

Friday we hosted pre-wedding drinks for a lovely couple, with exclusive use of the venue.

Yesterday we were thrilled to provide the wedding breakfast and celebration for another gorgeous pair. Our staff worked their socks off readying the room, polishing everything, and delivering over 50 high-quality meals to perfection.... followed by live music and dancing until late 💙
