🍸💔 It's our last weekend 💔 🍸

This weekend marks our final round together as we'll be serving our drinks for the last time. We want to take this moment to extend our deepest gratitude to all of you for your unwavering support over the years.

It'll be the last time to enjoy famously boozy cocktails, so please pop in for a tipple or just to say goodbye.

It's the end of Hardie's but it's on to a exciting new chapter for our team. We'll be opening a new music and events venue around the corner at The Scala, so don't be strangers.

Remember Merthyr.....Deserve Better!

We had an absolutely amazing day yesterday with The Movement. An top day / evening of house and disco all for a great cause.

Well done to Rhian, Jon, Claire and all the DJ's for a brilliant event. Not forgetting the 100+ who danced and sweated their socks off. 😅💦

It's days like these that make it all worth it! Great vibes, great tunes and great fun. ❤️❤️

🎇 Important News 🎇

Dear Hardies' loyal patrons,

Back in 2019, we embarked on a quest to bring the first, and finest, cocktail experience to Merthyr. Little did we know that an unexpected guest, called pandemic, was ready to crash our party.

With a splash of resilience and a twist of unity, our customers and team rallied together, transforming Hardies into the heart and soul of Merthyr's nightlife. Together, we've concocted many unforgettable moments, each a unique blend of great vibes and amazing drinks.

However, every cocktail party must come to an end, and so must our tenure at our current location. We're saddened to announce that we're serving our last cocktail here at the end of the month.

Our beloved venue decided to mix things up by developing a taste for dry rot. As our lease comes to an end, it seems the only mixer suitable for this unfortunate concoction is a thorough gutting and treatment. A bit like a detox for buildings, only less refreshing and much more disruptive.

Adding a bitter twist to our cocktail of circumstances, we're also wrestling with the economic hangover from the pandemic, inflation, and a more challenging business environment.

But hang on to your highballs, because this isn't our last call. While we're waving goodbye to our current location, we're excited to announce a new hangout spot. Our team is shaking things up at The Scala, just around the corner, where we'll be opening a multi-purpose venue for entertainment, live music, and events.

A heartfelt toast to all of you – our customers, partners, and staff – who've supported us through every up and down. You've been the perfect garnish to our Hardies experience.

So here's to the past, the present, and a future full of exciting new adventures. You're not losing a cocktail bar, Merthyr; you're just trading it in for a fantastic entertainment venue. We'll catch you on the flip side at The Scala, and who knows, we might even name a cocktail after our old, slightly rotten, but dearly loved venue.

🎸 Friday at 8pm: The incredible, Tealeaves with Scott Pritchard and Dozzer, will be serving up live tunes.

🎧 Saturday at 7:30pm: DJ Morgan Stubbs, our beat-master extraordinaire, will be dropping some irresistible house and dance classics to get everyone grooving.

🔥 Bank holiday Sunday at 7pm: Bouchy of the DnB and Garage realm will lead us on a musical crusade that's nothing short of EPIC!
