It is with heavy hearts that we have to write this but yesterday we lost Trevor Vernon.. A man of 87 wonderful years who passed peacefully in his sleep..💔He was surrounded by the love of the family he cherished above all else.
To his beloved partner in life Josie,he was the most devoted husband, a rock of strength, kindness and unwavering love through every chapter that they shared ❤️ To his daughter Tracey he was the steady hand that guided her,the voice that encouraged her and the heart that always loved her unconditionally.
But Trevor was also a man who touched the lives of so many beyond his family. He owned the chip shop on windy ridge .People will also remember him from Melton Town football club but above all he was the creator and owner of Melton’s number one nightclub, Tubes – a place that became the beating heart of our town’s nights, the setting for countless first dances, celebrations, friendships and memories that people still carry with them today. He poured his heart and soul into building Tubes, not just as a business, but as somewhere everyone was welcome, somewhere there was always laughter, good music and a warm welcome waiting. He shaped so many of our happiest moments, and his spirit will remain in the very walls of the place he loved so well.
Above all else, Trevor was a beloved friend to so many – generous with his time, quick with a smile, and always ready to lend a hand or share a kind word. He lived a long, full life, and the mark he has left on this town and in our hearts will never fade.
At this sad time, the family ask for your privacy and respect as they come to terms with their loss and celebrate an extraordinary life. If you knew Trevor, if you danced at Tubes, or if you have a memory or story to share, please do so – keep his memory alive, tell his stories, and remember the man who gave us so much joy.
Rest peacefully now, Trevor. You will be missed more than words can say, but never forgotten. ❤️
