Safety Reminder

Dear Customers, Hirers and Users of all descriptions,

As we all know, Rusty Lane gets a fair bit of traffic for a by-way. It provides access and parking space to Seend Centre, The Lye Field & Irene Usher Pavillion, Seend Tennis Club, the allotments, agricultural land and several private residences in addition to serving as a bridle through route to the Kennet & Avon Canal.

The vast majority of users drive cautiously and park courteously. However, some concerns have been raised regarding the safety of pedestrians as well as access in the event of an emergency.

We kindly remind those attending your sessions to drive slowly and with consideration for residents, other users, and especially that child that could be running out from the playpark. We also ask if you could try to avoid parking immediately adjacent to Seend Centre as this can block access to the emergency exit as well as the field gate.

This has been brought to our attention by others that use the lane. We therefore appreciate your cooperation and ask that you pass the message on to your groups, clubs and students as appropriate.

Thank you to Danny Lee Grew - Quite possibly THE most entertaining and impressive show we have hosted (too busy watching to get any good photos of him doing anything!)
It is just such a shame there were not more people there to see it.
The reaction from almost everyone we spoke to after the show was the same.
He is back in Corsham in September, we highly recommend watching.

Cleaner Required

Activity at Seend Centre has grown, and more people means more cleaning!
We are looking for a part-time cleaner to support our regular cleaner on their days off and pick up some of the more physically demanding tasks.
We anticipate the working schedule to be approximately 4 hours a week over two mornings (including Sundays) with additional hours to cover holiday and sickness.
