Why is Hope so important?
What difference does Hope make to a child and their family?

When Amora was diagnosed with cancer in January, at just one year old, her family's world changed overnight.

During the start of her treatment, Amora was given a Hope Elephant by Kirsty, our contact at the local hospital.

Her mum shared the following statement with us:

"My daughter was diagnosed with cancer in January - she's one - and your elephant Hope was given to her by Kirsty. We were back last week (12 weeks since diagnosis) and Amora was still as settled with Hope by her side.
Thank you so much for the little things - it makes so much difference! X"

To a child, Hope can be a friend, a source of comfort and a familiar face during hospital visits and treatment.

To parents, Hope is a reminder that they are not facing their journey alone. It represents kindness, support and the love of a community that cares.
