The middle house, as it is known, is a family-run, one-room locals' pub with interesting photographs of Marske through the ages around the walls. It serves five regular beers plus a guest from a mahogany island bar, which is a rarity in this area. There is no TV, no jukebox, no pool table, no children/teenagers - just the locals indulging in convivial conversation. There is no catering either as such, but tea and coffee are available, together with excellent home-made scones at lunchtimes, while a substantial finger buffet is provided on Tuesday evenings. It has a pleasant south-facing outdoor drinking area and ample car parking spaces. Regular Beers
