VAT’s the problem.

Hospitality is one of the UK’s greatest success stories. It employs millions of people, gives young people their first jobs, creates lifelong careers, keeps high streets alive and brings communities together.

But the sector is under enormous pressure. Rising energy costs. Food inflation. Huge employment costs. Unjust business rates. The highest tax burden in the UK economy. And on top of all of that - a 20% VAT rate that is among the highest in Europe.

Countries including Spain, Italy, France, Ireland and Germany know how important hospitality is to society, and they know it pays too much tax. That’s why they already support hospitality with lower VAT rates. The UK deserves the same.

A 10% VAT rate would:

• Support pubs, restaurants, cafes, hotels and nightclubs, and many more.
• Get businesses investing in jobs and helping our customers
• Strengthen high streets and local communities

Because when hospitality businesses close, communities lose far more than places to eat and drink, they lose connection, opportunity and local identity.

And that was a wrap on an incredible bank holiday weekend! 😎Yes, the pizza chefs and I got sunburn 🔥, yes all the staff combined weight loss in sweat is about 12 stone 🥵and yes the pizza oven was a massive success!! 🍕🙌🏻Thank you to everybody who came in for food, drink and to enjoy our beautiful beer garden 🌸but most of all thank you to my amazing team who worked tirelessly despite the heat to make it happen 💕

Sunday lunch will be served inside, while our terrace menu is available outside — featuring small plates, sharing boards and of course wood-fired pizzas from our outdoor oven 🍕

Enjoy the sunshine on the terrace or the comfort of a traditional Sunday roast indoors.

🍕🔥 It’s finally happening… our woodfired pizza oven is officially firing up at the Ring O’Bells Friday at 12:00pm!

We’ve been so excited to share this with you all, and we can’t wait for everyone to try our fresh, woodfired pizzas straight from the oven 🍕❤️

To make the launch even better, we’ll also be going LIVE to announce the winner of our “Create Our Signature Pizza” competition 👀🏆
There have been some brilliant entries, and one lucky winner is about to see their pizza idea added to the menu!
