Something tasty to look forward to: pie, mash and a proper pub quiz at The Shoulder!

Join us this coming Thursday, 5 November. Food from 4pm and quiz at 8pm. Choose steak and ale, chicken, mushroom and tarragon, or lamb and mint, with mash, seasonal vegetables and gravy.

£14.95 per person, including FREE quiz entry with the pie deal. Quiz only £3 per person. Teams up to six; all entry fees go into the prize pot.

Two of Diamonds are back on Sunday 15 November! 🎶

We love being the sort of pub you can just wander into, but over 50% of our dining places are already booked for their return. If you’d like to join us for food and that incredible atmosphere, we really do recommend booking your table now.

Their last visit created such a fantastic atmosphere, and we can’t wait to do it all again!

Just coming for drinks? The bar is open for walk-ins all day, so pop in and join us. The dining bookings don’t mean the bar is full!

Christmas Day at the Shoulder 🎄

Milton’s inviting you to join us for a Christmas Day celebration in Great Bowden, £55 per person.

Begin with an amuse-bouche, then choose from prawn cocktail with Marie Rose sauce, Brixworth pâté with crostini and red onion chutney, or winter vegetable soup with crusty bread.

A palate cleanser follows before the main event: sliced turkey crown, topside of beef or chestnut and cranberry roast, each with its festive accompaniments.

Finish with Christmas pudding and brandy sauce, homemade chocolate brownie with ice cream or winter berry Eton mess, followed by coffee.

We have two sittings, with staggered arrival times:
12–1pm or 2:30–3:30pm.
