If there was ever a fictional day trip you’d actually want to go on, surely it has to be the Jolly Boys’ Outing!

It remains one of the very best Only Fools and Horses episodes for me. The coach journey alone gives us so many brilliant moments, but once the whole gang actually gets to Margate it just gets better.

Del, Rodney, Trigger, Boycie, Mike, Denzil, Mickey Pearce and the rest of them all together for one day out gave us an episode with a lot of laughs.

And that’s probably why so many fans still say they’d love to have been on that coach with them.

Forget Dubai, the Maldives or some luxury resort — give us a seat on the Jolly Boys’ coach, a few drinks, a trip on the rides and a night out in Margate with this lot 😂

HAPPY 7th BIRTHDAY TO REUBEN ❤️

This little man insists his mum brings him to Charlie’s for Lunch 😉

As soon as he arrives he’s off and working 😂

He is the next Fred in the making 😎

Reuben is one of the Most Nicest, Polite young gentleman you will meet ( Well done Mum )

So we thought it was only right that he was presented with his own uniform for his birthday 🙏

Yes Joe and his family from Nottingham had to wait a little longer for his fish and chips, Barry from Southend might have had a little to much to drink and Sally from Bude wasn’t happy that we asked her not eat food from another establishment on our tables.
However what a weekend ❤️

Good vibes all around and we thank every single one of you for visiting Charlie’s Margate ( Well except Sally 😂 )

To our staff, You were amazing, It was probably the busiest yet, To our Kitchen Team, Wow !!
Just Wow, We can’t thank you enough.

To all the other establishments on the Piazza,
Well done your teams did a fantastic job throughout a busy hot weekend.

To our little pocket rocket, Manageress Natalie,
We’ve got you girl, Everything ran so smoothly and it’s all down to you 🙏
(Even if Joe from Nottingham doesn’t agree 😂)

Once again, Eli, Heather and the Margate Soul Weekend, You did an amazing job, You bring the best out of Margate every year.

Oh just one last thing, It’s fair to say that every business in and around the soul festival would have had an uplift, Hospitality, Shops etc.
We donate every year to the soul festival because we think it’s right. We know others do to and we know others donate quite a bit.
But we are a community, We are all in this together and I’m sure you can all put your hand in your pocket and donate £200 to the soul festival…. It’s just the right thing to do.
