After a busy Christmas and a chance to restock, the moment has come to stop making the Daisy Drinks (don’t worry we’re looking for a new spot and have lots of stock to tide us over) at our lovely spot on Cliff Terrace and find someone else to take over the lease and open another restaurant for Cliftonville.

If you’ve always wanted to run a restaurant there aren’t many better spots in Margate - great sea views and lovely hospitality neighbours Bar Nothing, Forts, Lilie’s + the iconic Lido sign and venues over the road. With Drill Shed and Winter Gardens reopening things will only get busier.

The site is fully licensed and has a complete kitchen - even down to pots and pans and comes with everything from full extraction to oven, hobs, fryers and glass/dish washing machines, fridges+freezers and bar equipment. You can be up and running with a lick of paint and some furniture.

The landlord is great - I’m very happy to arrange conversations and can share lease/rent details and the commercials privately. Daisy was profitable from the get go in the spot, and I am happy to offer advice to anyone starting out to begin on the right foot - it’s important to me that the space is used by a local business and I’d love this to be an opportunity for a great new food and drink option in Cliftonville!

(also - if you’re an investor looking for opportunities, there are small and local food & drink businesses I can intro you to who’d work great in the space but aren’t at the financial point right now to be able to make the commitment! I’d be interested in mentoring alongside the right partners)

What a year. We’d normally have done our Daisy wrapped but that whole thing is a bit passè now isn’t it.

Suffice to say - lots of ups and downs, ending on a high - you’re all loving the cans and it’s probably quite annoying for Margate post office but I’m having a great time.

Nectarine Heat

The latest addition to the roster of cans, this one’s been very popular already. A lovely balance of sweet fruity French nectarine liqueur, London dry gin, a surprising twist of horseradish and a touch of acidity to balance it out.

Fruity and lightly savoury, perfect on the rocks with a twist of pepper, we love one of these before dinner

What an incredible final weekend you all gave us — thanks from the bottom of my heart to everyone who came through for shots, beers, cocktails and chats.

Daisy me rollin’ - perhaps you’ve spotted we’re now - I’ve seen the love folks have for this space and name and we’ll be using it for our cans (and maybe more…?) 🌼

Daisy wouldn’t have been possible without an amazing team of staff over the years, the support of the local community and Thanet’s amazing hospitality scene. It’s tough at times running a hospitality business in a seasonal town surrounded by the sea on 3 sides, but it’s inspiring how much everyone bands together to make it work 💖

Popping this one up on the grid for the day to say thank you to everyone who’s made it down over the past fortnight and especially these last couple of days.

We’re open tonight 4-10 (or earlier if we’ve run out of tequila!) but we are definitely not going to open tomorrow, sorry!
