NEW SHOW✨WILD WOMEN ARE WONDERFUL

Wild Women, Katie Bradley, Sarah Quist, Alison Jones and Alice Phelps, come together to tell their stories through a shared love of music, and storytelling to create a dynamic collaboration of music, song and poetry that celebrates the powerful voices of women across four generations.

These four dynamic women met in the beating heart of Folkestone’’s vibrant music scene and have many stories to tell through song, music and poetry.

Join Mama’s Gunn live at Olby’s as part of their new UK tour.

Mama’s Gun is a London-based British soul/pop band formed in 2007 by singer, songwriter, and producer Andy Platts. Known for their blend of classic soul, funk, pop, and modern R&B influences, the band has built an international following thanks to their polished songwriting, rich harmonies, and energetic live performances.

The current lineup includes Andy Platts (vocals), David Oliver (keyboards), Terry Lewis (guitar), Cameron Dawson (bass), and Chris Boot (drums). The band’s name was inspired by the album Mama’s Gun by Erykah Badu.

Mama’s Gun first gained major attention with their 2009 debut album, Routes to Riches. The single “House on a Hill” became a major radio hit in Japan, helping the band become one of the most-played international acts on Japanese radio that year.

Their sound is often compared to artists such as Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, and Bill Withers, while maintaining a contemporary feel that has earned them fans across Europe, Asia, and beyond.
