We’re so back 🎉

Open from 12pm, see you soon!

Thank you for your patience yesterday.
Aside from a few fuses tripped this morning, that were fun to locate in such an old building that’s been re-wired and re-jigged more times than most, we’re back!
Never thought I’d be so happy to see those neon signs first thing. But not as happy as I was to hear the coffee machine ticking away 🥰

With the sun out and the bookings already near full, we’re in for a wild weekend. Hopefully we’ll see you somewhere along the way. Cheers!

**update back open as usual Sat from 12**

Bad news turned worse! 😭

Unfortunately our timeline has expanded. We were optimistic off of professional advice that we would be back open and trading today with the risk of ‘intermittent outages’.

That has not proven to be the case and a small job has turned bigger. Heavy duty has been called in and they’re digging away.

That being the case we are unable to open for service today, which is a devastating start to the weekend I’m sure you’ll agree.

The team are currently in the process of contacting all guests who have booked for today.

Sorry for the continued bad news. Could be the most cliche Friday the 13th for us yet. It can only get better right?

Work should be finished today to a point we should be back open as normal tomorrow. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Good Morning!

Unfortunately we will be unable to open this afternoon. We’ve got up this morning to found we are without power! We’ve been on the phone constantly with our power company who assured us we’d be up and running by 8:30, then 10, then 11:30 and are now sending someone out to find out the problem.

We’ve been assured we’ll be open for this evenings service so are working hard to make sure this is the case.

Now it might be controversial but we think our Duck dish is best served pink and this guest must have agreed because their dish came out BEAUTIFULLY. Complimented with plum compote and red wine jus 🥰.

Of course if you prefer a more well done dish we’d be more than happy to do so.

But there’s also ample other options for you to choose from on our main menu if duck isn’t tempting your appetite! 🍽️

One of our chefs stopped me at the end of our lunch service today to and asked "Luke have you posted something about this Goats Cheese Salad? Seems like every single table wants one."

So much so that we're already almost sold out for the day ("only seven left, I had loads this morning!")

Now granted I did no such thing and I assured him that it in fact was a really well made dish and both looks and tastes amazing 🤷. But he was seemingly unwilling to accept that, a chef without hubris, I know. Either way it's amazing, here's a beautiful picture of one, get it before it runs out and pair it with a beautiful glass of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.

We haven’t quite mastered the world of coffee art just yet but as it goes I think Millie did a cracking job on this one! (I won’t tell you how many I did wrong before she stepped in) 😐

Proud to serve 200 Degrees coffee. A Nottingham based Coffee Company. The roast we use ‘Brazilian Love Affair’ is exceptional. 💃

Maybe you don’t fancy dinner and drinks but why not a nice slow relaxing coffee date and maybe just maybe treat yourself to some chocolate orange cheesecake as well.

The grand jackpot wasn't won last week so the pot continues to grow. It certainly won't be an amount to turn you nose up at, and any extra pennies in your pocket is always a benefit!💰

Our regular Host/Comedian/DJ/Casanova/Steve I'm not sure how many of these I can write to describe you without sounding obnoxious. Well he'll be here as always to guide you through the evening!

Today is National Spouses Day! ❤️

Take this as a sign to treat your partner (I'm sure you do plenty of it already, but I'm also certain they won't be averse to even more of it!).

Be that to something homely and filling like our Herb Roasted Corn Fed Chicken, with French style peas and rosemary new potatoes. Or something simpler like our Buffalo style chicken Wings. Add on a portion of fries and a couple of drinks and you've got a perfect accompaniment to an evening spent together. 🐓🍴

I asked our staff for a fun caption to put on social media about these delicious pizzas the chefs made today and what I got back was the following:

“oh it’s about pizza well what about that peter pepper guy…I know, Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers but if you don’t like pickled peppers (which we don’t sell) why not have a pepperoni pizza instead. Or that other pizza, that looks nice too”

Firing out some amazingly vibrant dishes. Our Lamb Shank and Braised Beef Bourguignon (say that three times fast) are looking particularly enticing. 😍

Looking for something to populate your weekday afternoons other than chores and life admin. Well come to The Greendale Oak and treat yourself to something off our delicious lunch menu served 12pm-4:30pm or indulge in our main menu too served 12pm-9pm. 🍴
