Culture? On the Stour? It’d be rude not to...

Next up in the series of Stour Culture Club events at The Red Lion: George and the Drag Queen on the 24th October! 🎭

With three actors, a changing set and Pipeline’s immersive soundscape, this show takes you on an unlikely, funny and poignant journey. The play combines humour, warmth, historical fantasy and multi role madness as well as personal histories and political tensions to expose the complexities of modern debates around migration, gender identity and community, and how people can become caught between compassion and prejudice, loyalty and fear, while grasping for understanding and connection.

A recap of our sold out Upstairs at The Red Lion music night with The Psychedelic Circus & Diana Silveira on Friday night 🎶

We were joined by the incredible Psychedelic Circus, fronted by Portuguese powerhouse Diana Silveira, for an evening full of well known songs from bands such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and more, as well as original material from Diana’s repertoire, ahead of their concert the following evening at The Apex in Bury St Edmunds ⭐

The best way to brighten up a chilly autumn evening? Live comedy of course! 🙌

Comedy Club is back for another round on the 22nd October, so here is your line-up of comedians joining us for the evening 😆 Tickets are on sale NOW at redlionmanningtree.co.uk, so get yours soon to avoid missing out! 🎟️

MC: John Mann - This constantly in demand comedian is one of the recent success stories on the UK comedy Circuit. A unique observer of the mundane, John is sometimes rude, frequently silly, but never, never dull.

Don Biswas - A politically charged gag merchant who likes to cover a wide range of subjects including his Asian upbringing, his neurodiversity as someone with dyspraxia, ADHD, and ASD as well as the hot political issues of the day.

Charmain Hughes - You could listen, and giggle, wonder and sympathise for hours and never get bored by the smiley lady in the Kiwi print dress. Actual ‘gags’ are not really her thing, rather eccentric observations and odd little afterthoughts that sprinkle her stories and keep you laughing.

Headlining: Michael Fabbri - He’s been a stand up since 2003 and regularly performs at major comedy clubs throughout the UK and all over the world. An affable and electric style of comedy, with material that ranges from the cerebral to the smutty.
