This beautiful looking resplice job here will be heading back up to its owner this week, this is the first Asian Rosewood I’ve spliced into a cue before which I had high hopes it was going to look great, and once the CYMRU CUES cue oil hit it as you can see here it looks better than great!

Here’s a quick video of an 8” mini butt l’ve made for a customer using some recently received Foxwood.
Definitely looking forward to splicing some of this into a cue, just trying to think if a coloured veneer would work well and what colour, what’s your thoughts people?

Dr Cue 119 was delivered today arriving in Jersey safely! A stunning multi splice cue set built up of Bocote, Olivewood, Cocobolo and Thuya Burl all on white/ green/white (Sporting Lisbon) veneers. Finished off with a personalised custom plate made by The Cue Badger. The set was supplied with a free Lynch's Original Cue Balm case size tin as part of the continued collaboration with Lynch's.
Plenty of hours of work in this set but the final results are immense, the photos don't do it justice!
Final specs were,
PLAYING CUE ash shaft
- 8mm Titanium ferrule fitted with a green Adr147 SS tip.
- 57".
- 20 1/4 ounces.
- 29.6mm butt.
- 14.5" BP.
BREAKING CUE maple shaft
- 10.5mm Titanium ferrule fitted with a CYMRU CUES clear break tip.
- 57".
- 22 1/8 ounces.
- 29.6mm butt.
- 15.5" BP.
Fully treated and traditionally French polished butts, then final cleaned using Lynch's before packing.

This 2022 series 004 3/4 jointed Dr Cue has been sent to me to bring back to pretty much new condition and to sell. She will be available at end of play tomorrow.
Specs are,
- 8mm stainless steel ferrule
- 57" long
- 18 3/8 ounces
- 30mm butt
- 14.75" BP
Ash shaft that has some whip to it and butt built up with a rotational multi splicing of African Rosewood, Olivewood, Ropalo Lacewood and Birdseye Maple all on blue veneers.
10% of the sale will be donated to McMillan Cancer Support.
I will be looking to get £750 (plus shipping) for this thing of beauty so if the specs fit then get in touch and it could be with you by the weekend.

Another oiling (with CYMRU CUES cue oil) video of a cue which I will be finishing up this week for a custom order, Red Amboyna Burl, Birdseye Maple, Brazilian Tulipwood and Macassar Ebony. The Red Amboynya colours pop once the oil hits it! 😍 this is one beautiful looking cue, all on a Pearwood shaft too!

Latest Dr Cue break cue was hand delivered yesterday, a Canadian Maple shaft sourced from Devon Hardwoods, with Ebony and Amboyna Burl face splice, then capped off with some matching Amboyna Burl to finish it off beautifully.
Final specs are,
- 9mm stainless steel ferrule fitted with a horo_tips black break tip.
- 58”.
- 17 3/4 ounces.
- 30.1mm full rounded butt.
- 16.5” BP.
Fully treated shaft mainly with CYMRU CUES cue oil, but traditionally French polished and then shaft final cleaned and polished with Lynch's Original Cue Balm. A complimentary mini tin of Lynch’s supplied as part of the continued collaboration with Cue Care Jim.
