d girl herself was packed full of heritage, history and character... it underwent some changes, some for good, some for bad over the past few years. We could just try to fake a classic pub environment, manufacture old characteristics or fabricate a history, but frankly people can spot a charlatan rip off from a mile away. So, we decided to make a new 'pub' - A Modern Day Proper Pub! So, the result is a newish looking space but with every ingredient that makes a pub what a pub should be and how we all remember them being; the kind of pub we all grew up in. We hope it evolves over time and gets it's own grace, warmth and charm, becomes something genuine, for good people and like the best pubs, is a community in itself, inside it's walls.
