Well… this one’s a bit of a lump-in-the-throat post.

As of today, Hetherington’s is officially closed.

From first pints to last orders, quizzes, laughs, celebrations, commiserations and everything in between – thank you to every single customer, regular, friend and client who walked through our doors over the years.

You made it more than just a bar. You made it Hevs.

Cheers for the memories, the madness, and the many, many drinks. 🍻

Once a Hevs regular, always a Hevs regular.

It’s Wednesday tomorrow, which can only mean it’s Speedquizzing at Hetherington’s! Join Quizmaster Mark from 8 PM for three rounds of general and not-so-general knowledge, trivia, facts, music and fun!

It’s £2 per person to enter, and the more people enter, the bigger the prize pot - 1st prize is a Hevs bar tab!

So get your smartphones charged up, get those big brains ready, and a witty team name to bag the best team name prize!

It’s Blue Monday (19 January)… but we’re not feeling blue at Hevs 💙🍻

They say it’s the most miserable day of the year, but we’ve got the perfect cure. Join us at Hetherington’s and turn those blues into brews with Happy Hour running until 7pm 🎉

Good drinks, good company, and good vibes guaranteed. Pop in, raise a glass, and let’s make Monday feel a whole lot brighter.

It’s our first SpeedQuizzing night of 2026, and honestly… it feels like forever since the last one 🧠🍻

To kick off the new year properly, we’re hosting a special Big Hevs Quiz of 2025 - with a whole round dedicated to the moments, madness and memories from the last 12 months. Think you remember it all? This is your chance to prove it.

Quizmaster Mark will be at the helm as always, spinning the tunes, delivering the (questionable) jokes, and keeping things moving. We’ll be getting started from around 8pm.

💷 £2 per person to play
🏆 First prize: a Hevs bar tab
🎁 Plus a few cheeky spot prizes up for grabs (best team name, anyone?)

So round up your team, charge those phones, get the thinking caps on — and we’ll see you at Hevs for a proper quiz night to start 2026 in style. 🍾✨
